The 14th July Bridge or Suspension Bridge is a suspension bridge located over the Tigris River in Baghdad. The bridge was designed by American engineer David B. Steinman in 1956, and it was built in 1964 by a Belgian company with a length of 167.64 m, to be one of the oldest suspension bridges in the Middle East. It is located south of Baghdad, and the bridge connects the Green Zone (Karada Maryam) from the Karkh side to the eastern Karrada region from the Rusafa side. It is made from metal with a typical suspension bridge design form.
