Typography — Ishtar Household Appliances

ISHTAR, a company for household appliances, was founded in 1959 and is a governmental company, which is still running.

The logo of ISHTAR company contains the outline of a camomile flower. The flower of chamomile is an ancient symbol of Mesopotamia in Babylon and Assyria. The flower is displayed on the walls of the Ishtar gate of Babylon, symbolising the goddess Ishtar, who marches all the time with the army and grants them victory.

ISHTAR products such as refrigerators, freezers, ovens, heaters and boilers used to be available in each Iraqi family. In the 90s, during the times of the embargo, only ISHTAR products were available. The devices are of high quality and have a long service life. In some Iraqi families there are still functional devices, even after 40 years.
