Cuniform is a logo-syllabic script that was the first written language. It was used through all the ancient eras of Iraq, starting in Uruk of Sumer, southern Iraq. It was named cuneiform because of the matching shape of the main logo-syllable to a wedge shape (cuneus: latin). The use of cuneiform ended 300 A.D. and war replaced with the alphabet.
