Color — The prevailing colors in the ancient city of Nimrud – Al-Hadar

Al-Hadar is an Iraqi city located 80 km southwest of Mosul. The city is believed to be founded at the beginning of the second century BC. Al-Hadar district center is currently considered in Nineveh province. The historic Al-Hadar city is 2 km northwest of the current Al-Hadar and a number of written texts were found on large stones containing some legal and norms that prevailed.

The beige color is dominant in the city of Al-Hadar in Nineveh Governorate as a result of the building material of stone, and there are gradations of light green that were used in important or sacred places, especially in the places of sculptures.
