The great mosque of Sulaymaniyah is considered the oldest mosque in the city, it was built in 1785 by Ibrahim Pasha Baban. It contains 3 small cemeteries and the shrine of Haji Kaka Ahmed and his grandson, King Mahmood. Situated at the heart of the city, hundreds of people visit the mosque for prayer and to visit the shrines. The colors vary depending on the location, the inside or outside. The common colors are beige and turquoise.
