Baghdad Central Station for trains, located on the Karkh side. It was designed by the English architect J. M. Wilson in 1952, and it is of a twin English design for two stations also built after the Second World War, one in India and the other in London. The station’s towers include two clocks, one of them bearing Indian Arabic numerals and the second carrying English numerals. The chimes of the clock are similar to those of the famous Big Ben in London.
